My claim to fame on this little Island of Bermuda……..

I am the granddaughter of a Lighthouse Keeper.   I come from a long line of Lighthouse Keepers (Gibbs Hill Lighthouse)  and am a 5th generation Bermudian.  My grandfather was the last of the last lighthouse keepers before Gibbs Hill went electronic, and I grew up in the house that is attached to lighthouse.  I love my Island home and thrive on capturing  it on canvas.  Some of the best moments are painted on a quiet summer evening.

I belong to a Plein Air group that meets every Sunday morning and paints at various locations on the Island.  This is a great way to see old houses & properties and learn some interesting history.  The help and encouragement received from other artists is important and encouraging.

I am administrator of the Arts Centre at Dockyard which enhances my creative outlook every day.

  1. Heidi Cowen has an enjoyable color pallet. I will be visiting the island and may like to return home with a painting or watercolor.

Is there a place on the island to view? Is there a website?

    thank you
